The first week back at HKPA has been nothing short of amazing! After an amazing summer filled with workshops and family time, our door opened and our classes rooms once again came alive with the sounds of laughter, music, and creativity as we welcomed students back for what promises to be an exciting and inspiring New Term ahead.
From the very first class, the energy was electric. Seeing familiar faces return filled us with joy, while welcoming new students reminded us just how special our community really is. It didn’t take long for everyone to settle in—our new students fit seamlessly into the HKPA family, showing passion, enthusiasm, and a willingness to embrace every opportunity.
Welcoming Old and New Faces
One of the best parts of the first week back is reconnecting with our long-standing students. Watching their progress year after year is a true privilege. Their growth in confidence, technique, and performance skills is a testament to their dedication—and to the supportive environment at HKPA.
Equally exciting was the arrival of new students. Starting at a new academy can sometimes feel daunting, but the warmth of our community made the transition smooth and joyful. It was inspiring to see new students joining in with confidence, quickly finding their place, and contributing their own unique talents to the group. This blend of old and new is what makes what we do so special—it’s a space where everyone belongs, and where every performer has the chance to shine.
Show-Term Preparations Are Underway
This term is particularly exciting as it’s our show term—a time when all the hard work, practice, and creativity come together for a spectacular performance. Our first week of rehearsals exceeded expectations.
