The moment we’ve all been waiting for has finally arrived! Show Week is here at Holly King Performing Arts Academy (HKPA), and the excitement is electric! After months of rehearsals, creativity, teamwork, and dedication, our students are now preparing to step onto the stage and share the magic they’ve been building throughout the term.
The next two weekends mark the beginning of a celebration of talent, confidence, expression, and hard work. For our HKPA family, Show Week is more than about the performances, it’s a milestone. It’s a chance for our students to shine, to feel proud, and to experience the joy that comes from bringing a story, a piece, or a moment to life on stage.
A Season of Preparation Comes to Life
Throughout this term, our studios have been filled with the sound of music, the rhythm of dance, and the buzz of determination as our students prepared for their shows. Each class has poured its heart into building choreography, refining vocals, mastering acting pieces, and working together to create something truly special.
Now, every rehearsal, every correction, every moment of growth, is being channelled into performances that we know will be full of passion, energy, and have that unmistakable HKPA sparkle.
Show Week is always a reminder of why we do what we do. The discipline, teamwork, resilience, and confidence our students have developed shine as brightly as the stage lights they’re about to step into.
Building Confidence, One Rehearsal at a Time
One of the most beautiful parts of Show Week is watching students recognise their own progress.
For some, this is their first time on stage. For others, it’s a familiar thrill. But for all of them, it’s a moment to stand tall, step forward, and let their confidence speak for itself.
Performing arts education is powerful because it gives young people something beyond technique. And at HKPA, we live by giving each and every one of our students:

The Power of Teamwork
No HKPA show is created alone. Every performer contributes to the bigger picture. Every routine, harmony, and scene relies on teammates supporting one another, listening, communicating, and lifting each other up.
Show Week is where this teamwork becomes visible. Students encourage each other backstage, share nerves, celebrate triumphs and experience something unforgettable as a collective.
This sense of unity is one of the things we are most proud of at HKPA. It’s what makes our academy feel like family.
After Sadler’s Wells, Momentum Is Sky-High
Coming off the back of an extraordinary performance at Sadler’s Wells, our students are stepping into Show Week with even more passion and excitement.
All three HKPA troupes performed beautifully, with sections individually and then coming together for powerful pieces that showcased everything HKPA represents.
Their professionalism, emotion, and stage presence left audiences inspired and staff bursting with pride.
That experience has fuelled our students for the week ahead, and you can feel the excitement building across all our classes.
